Cookies, in
plain words.
Every cookie this site can set, what it does and how long it stays. One optional category, two equal buttons, and changing your mind takes one click.

This page lists everything this site stores in your browser. There is one optional category, analytics, and it stays off until you say yes on the cookie card. Everything else exists so the site can do its job, and none of it follows you anywhere.
The essentials.
Set without asking, because the site cannot work without them. None of them identify you and none of them leave this site.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| bb-consent | Remembers your answer to the cookie question, so we only ask once. | 12 months after a yes, 6 months after a no |
| bb-utm | Notes which advert or link brought you here, so an enquiry can say so. Session storage rather than a cookie. | Until the tab closes |
| bb-enquiry | Holds your in-progress enquiry answers, so a refresh does not lose them. Session storage rather than a cookie, cleared the moment the enquiry is sent. | Until the tab closes |
| payload-token | Keeps our own team signed in to the studio admin. Never set for visitors. | A few hours |
| __prerender_bypass | Lets our editors preview unpublished draft pages. Never set for visitors. | While a staff preview runs |
The optional set: analytics.
Only set after a yes. Two tools count visits so we can see which rooms, guides and Journal pieces actually help people plan, and which need rewriting. There are no ad networks on this site, nothing is sold on, and nobody is followed around the internet. Neither tool is ever sent your name, email address or anything you type into a form.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics. Tells visits apart with a random number and runs on Google’s servers, with the transfer safeguards described in the privacy policy. | About 13 months |
| ph_* | PostHog, served through our own address and stored in the United States, under the transfer safeguards described in the privacy policy. Shows us how pages and tools like the calculators are used. | About 12 months |
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we read it as a standing no and never show you the cookie card at all.
Change your answer.
One click, any time, from the button below or the Cookie choices link in the footer of every page. Saying no stops both tools immediately and clears the identifiers they set.
The tools named above publish their own privacy notes: Google and PostHog.
