The screen, the cables, the light: designed in

Bespoke media walls, built around the screen.

A media wall is joinery, electrics and ventilation agreeing with each other. Get the drawing right and the technology disappears into the room. Get it wrong and you own a hot cupboard with a television on it.

Media walls

The best media wall in the room is the one you stop noticing the moment the screen comes on.

Floating media wall in oak with LED underglow and concealed cabling, real installation

Recessed TV walls with concealed cabling

The oak wall here is floating with its underglow on, and every cable is already inside it. Power, HDMI, network and speaker runs are routed through the carcass at the drawing stage, so the screen sits flush and nothing is tidied into trunking. Ventilation is designed in at the same time: airflow your equipment needs, through vents you will never notice.

Media walls with fireplaces

Electric fires in media walls need clearances and heat management done properly. We design to the fire manufacturer’s specification, not around it, so the joinery, the fire and the screen live together safely for years.

Lighting that carries the evening

A lit media wall stops a dark room collapsing into a glowing rectangle. Soft washes behind the joinery, shelf lighting that flatters the room at night, switched and dimmed the way you actually watch.

The proof

Rooms we actually built.

Media walls first, then the rest of the work: projects, films from the fitting days and verified reviews. All real, all ours.

Customisation

Hundreds of combinations.
None off the shelf.

The colour is matched to a reference, the doors are drawn for the room, the insides are sized to what you own. All of it is decided with a designer at the drawing stage.

How it works

From idea to installation.

One team carries your room through all four stages. You will know exactly where it is at every one of them.

The visit

A designer measures your room and talks through what is possible. Free, about an hour, no obligation.

The design

Layouts, finishes and a photo-real render of your actual room. Change anything you like: at this stage it costs nothing.

The making

Built to the survey in our own 6,000 sq ft Birmingham workshop. Nothing outsourced.

The fit

Installed by the team that made it, shaped to your walls on site. Most rooms take days, not weeks.

One team means people, not departments.

Founded and run by Rooz and Mona. The team that makes your furniture is the team that fits it.

See what it costs
The brief

Decided at the drawing stage.

Media walls fail on details that are cheap on paper and expensive after fitting. These are the ones we settle early.

The screen size, honestly

Buy the television before the wall is drawn, or commit to the size. The joinery is built around it to the millimetre.

The kit list

A soundbar and a streamer need very little. A receiver, console and sky box need depth and airflow. The equipment shapes the drawing.

Fire, or no fire

A fire changes clearances, materials and cost. Decide early, and we design to the manufacturer’s specification.

Which room

Bedroom media walls run quieter and calmer; living room walls carry more storage and more technology. Same team, same workshop, different drawing.

The investment

What a media wall costs here.

Media walls are quoted like everything else here: a real range after seeing the wall and the kit list, an itemised quote at sign-off, and a 10-year guarantee on the joinery. Published trade guides put a standard professional media wall at £2,000 to £4,000 supplied and installed; full bespoke cabinetry walls are priced like fitted furniture, at £900 to £1,500+ per metre of joinery before the fire and the lighting.

Tell us about the wall in twenty seconds and a designer replies with a straight range.

The build

Joinery that carries technology.

Screens get heavier and equipment changes every few years. The wall is built to carry the weight and accept the change: access where you will need it, spare capacity where the future goes.

Straight answers

Media walls questions, answered straight.

Honest answers, including the ones that depend on seeing your room. More in the Journal, and a designer will answer anything else.

How much does a media wall cost?

Published trade guides put a standard professionally built media wall at £2,000 to £4,000 supplied and installed, and a media wall with a fireplace at £2,300 to £3,500. Larger bespoke cabinetry walls are priced like fitted furniture: £900 to £1,500+ per linear metre of joinery, before the fire, the stone and the lighting.

We give a real range at the first visit, after seeing the wall and the kit list, with an itemised quote at sign-off. The full cost guide is on our pricing page.

The complete media wall cost & design guide

Can the TV be recessed flush into the wall?

Yes. That is the point of drawing the wall around the screen. Flush recesses need the depth, the ventilation and the bracket designed together. It is standard work for us and the most common failure point of walls built ad hoc.

Can you include an electric fireplace?

Yes. Fires in media walls need clearances, heat-resistant materials and airflow done to the fire manufacturer’s specification, and that is how we design them. Decide on the fire early: it shapes the whole drawing.

Do you handle the electrics?

The design includes every cable route, socket position and lighting circuit, coordinated with the electrical work so nothing is an afterthought. Ask at the design visit how that is handled for your project; the answer depends on the scope.

Do you build media walls outside bedrooms?

Yes. Living rooms, snugs and offices too. Bespoke Bedrooms is the bedroom studio of Posh Design, which has been designing whole living spaces for years. Same designers, same workshop.

Let’s make the technology disappear.

A designer measures the room, tells you what it could be, and gives you a real range. Free, and if we are not right for it, we say so.
