Fully bespoke
Fitted wardrobes
in Lichfield.
Wardrobes drawn to Georgian proportions, cottage runs cut low around the beams, dressing rooms and whole upstairs schemes for village family houses. Measured in your room, made in our own workshop, fitted by the people who made it.
Book a free design visitGeorgian Lichfield was set out with a straight edge and built by hand. Two centuries later the lines have softened, and the furniture that fits is furniture that was measured here, not guessed at from a warehouse.
Built, filmed, reviewed.
A passing glance at the work: films from fitting days, rooms as installed, and words we did not write ourselves. The full wall lives on the projects page.

Great quality and service from start to finish and quicker than expected!

Built for
Lichfield’s rooms.
Bespoke only earns its name if it answers the actual housing stock. These are the rooms we draw for around Lichfield.
Georgian townhouses
Tall sashes, shutters, fine proportions, and floors that slope with two hundred years of settlement. Furniture is levelled internally and scribed at the floor line, so a case that is perfectly true sits in a room that is honestly not.
Cottages and conversions
Low ceilings, beams, walls two bricks thick with deep reveals. Storage is drawn around the structure, never against it, and low-ceiling wardrobes are their own discipline: every centimetre of height accounted for, nothing wasted on plinth or void.
Village family homes
The larger houses in Whittington, Shenstone and Kings Bromley take dressing rooms, landing storage and media walls, often in one scheme drawn together, so the whole upstairs speaks with one voice.
Darwin Park and the newer streets
Clean rooms, standard heights, and the same appetite for storage every young family has. A full-height fitted run repays a modern room fastest, because the ceiling line is exactly where the catalogue stops short.
What we make
for Lichfield.
Four kinds of room, one workshop. Fitted wardrobes are what most people come asking for; the making covers the whole bedroom.
Fitted wardrobes in Lichfield
In the Georgian stock the run is drawn to the room’s own grammar: door panels answering the shutters, heights taking their cue from the sash. In the cottages it is the opposite art, long and low, tucked to the purlin, with the beam left proud.
Walk-in wardrobes in Lichfield
Village houses convert a spare room; townhouses take the deep landing cupboard idea seriously and turn it into a small dressing room with proper light. Either way, drawn around your clothes and your morning, not a standard bay count.
Bedroom furniture in Lichfield
Painted pieces sit most comfortably in Lichfield’s older rooms: chests, bedsides and dressing tables sprayed in quiet colours, proportioned to the architecture, made to stand beside two-hundred-year-old joinery without apologising.
Media walls in Lichfield
Beamed sitting rooms want the low, long version: a hearth-height run carrying the screen and hiding every cable, with the old wall left unchased. In the newer houses the full floor-to-ceiling wall earns its place.
Straight up the A38.
From the workshop the run to Lichfield follows the A38 north, an easy morning made often. The city and its villages are firmly home ground: same survey habits, same fitting standards, no travel arithmetic on the quote.
What a Lichfield room costs.
The same published guide prices apply everywhere we work: fitted bedrooms from £6k, a principal bedroom with a walk-in dressing room between £20k and £40k, where most of our commissions sit, and whole-floor schemes £40k to £80k, all including VAT. The survey turns the guide into one itemised number.
No teaser numbers, and nothing invented to get through the door. If the honest range does not fit, you hear it at the survey, not after it.
One team, from survey
to swept floor.
We design your room, render it photo-realistically before anything is cut, make it in our own 6,000 sq ft Birmingham workshop, and fit it ourselves. Nothing outsourced. Not one part of it.
A designer surveys your room in Lichfield: every wall, floor and ceiling. You get a real range, not a teaser number.
You see the finished room in your own space before anything is cut. Change your mind freely at the drawing stage; it costs you nothing.
Made in Birmingham, fitted by the people who made it, scribed to your walls until the joins disappear.
I ordered some handles for my wardrobe from here and noticed a small part was missing on opening. I emailed them about this and their customer service was brilliant. Alex the Operations Manager handled my query and dealt with this…

Amazing service from start to finish. Delivery came on time and when the smallest of defects on a worktop was noticed, it was replaced immediately without any issues. Fitting was superb and efficient.
From the very first consultation to the final touches, Rooz has been nothing short of phenomenal. All of his team that worked on my project has been truly outstanding, it has transformed into something beyond my expectations…
Fabulous service with a smile. Quick initial survey, appointment to discuss plan which was even quicker, great 3D rendering to show new kitchen design.
These guys were recommended by our builder, and honestly, what a good decision! The quality and finish of their products are great, and any issues were rapidly rectified. Add to that the friendly warm service from the team, and you can’t lose!
I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with Posh Design to create custom furniture for my home, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results.
Local questions, straight answers.
Do you work in the villages around Lichfield?
Yes. Whittington, Shenstone, Alrewas, Kings Bromley and the rest of the WS13 and WS14 patch are all comfortably in range, and treated exactly like the city: same survey, same making, same fitters.
What do Lichfield projects cost?
The tiers we publish are the honest answer before a survey: fitted bedrooms from £6k including VAT, principal suites with a walk-in £20k to £40k, whole floors £40k to £80k. After the survey you get one itemised number, explained line by line at sign-off.
Our house is listed. How do you handle that?
With respect for the fabric first: furniture that stands rather than bolts, reversible fixings where anything must touch the wall, and original plaster, beams and joinery left exactly as found. If a detail genuinely needs consent, we say so rather than proceeding around it.
The bedroom floor slopes noticeably. Can fitted furniture cope?
Yes, and better than freestanding ever will. The survey measures the fall precisely, the carcasses are levelled internally so drawers run true, and the plinth is scribed to the floor line. The furniture reads as level because the eye follows its lines, not the boards.
Our cottage ceilings are barely two metres. Is fitted still worth it?
Low rooms are where fitted earns its keep most obviously, because every centimetre matters and nothing standard fits. Hanging is planned to the exact height, drawers take over where hanging cannot, and the run tucks to the beam instead of stopping short of it.
Across Lichfield and around it.
Fitted wardrobes, walk-in dressing rooms, bedroom furniture and media walls, surveyed and fitted in Lichfield city, Boley Park, Darwin Park, Whittington, Shenstone, Alrewas, Kings Bromley and Burntwood. One workshop makes all of it, and the same team fits it.
