Bromsgrove & Barnt Green

The villas under the Lickeys were built with bedrooms worth taking seriously: high ceilings, deep bays, proper alcoves. We draw furniture to that architecture, show it rendered in your own room, and fit it with the same hands that made it.

Our work

Built, filmed, reviewed.

A passing glance at the work: films from fitting days, rooms as installed, and words we did not write ourselves. The full wall lives on the projects page.

The houses here

Built for
Bromsgrove & Barnt Green’s rooms.

Bespoke only earns its name if it answers the actual housing stock. These are the rooms we draw for around Bromsgrove.

Barnt Green and Lickey villas

Victorian and Edwardian houses on wooded plots, built for the city’s industrialists under the Lickey Hills. High ceilings, generous principal bedrooms, alcoves and bays everywhere. Rooms that deserve furniture drawn to the architecture, not against it.

Bromsgrove’s market-town mix

Interwar semis with bay fronts along the Birmingham Road, solid detacheds around Finstall and Aston Fields, and newer estates filling in between. Three different storage problems; the survey tells us which one your room is actually posing.

Droitwich Spa and the A38 corridor

Period houses near the centre, executive developments on the edges, and loft conversions everywhere as families stay put and build up. Pitched ceilings and eaves are precision work, which is the part of the trade we like best.

Alvechurch and the villages

Cottages and village houses with low ceilings, chimney breasts and not one straight wall. Bespoke is not a luxury here; it is the only thing that actually fits.

The offer here

What we make
for Bromsgrove.

Four kinds of room, one workshop. Fitted wardrobes are what most people come asking for; the making covers the whole bedroom.

Fitted wardrobes in Bromsgrove

In the period stock the run is drawn to the alcoves, the picture rails and the bay. In the newer estates it is drawn to the ceiling, using every centimetre. Either way it is made ten miles away and fitted by the people who made it.

Walk-in wardrobes in Bromsgrove

The bigger Barnt Green and Finstall houses give up a spare room to a proper dressing room: island drawers, full-height hanging, honest light. The layout is planned around your actual wardrobe, down to the last drawer.

Bedroom furniture in Bromsgrove

Bedsides, chests and dressing tables made with the wardrobes, in the same timber and finish, so the room reads as one scheme rather than a collection of purchases.

Media walls in Bromsgrove

Family rooms in the newer developments take a full media wall, cabling planned before a board is cut. In the villas it is more often a study or a snug, drawn around the chimney breast with every cable out of sight.

From the workshop

Fifteen minutes down the A38.

The workshop is in Stirchley, on the Worcestershire side of Birmingham. Barnt Green is the next stop down the A38; Bromsgrove and Droitwich follow it south. No patch we serve is closer, and the closeness shows up in every date we offer.

The driveStraight down the A38 or one junction of the M42. Barnt Green is fifteen minutes from the bench your furniture is made on.
The surveyTell us your week and we fit around it. This is the easiest diary we keep.
The workshopClose enough to visit while your room is on the bench. Plenty of Bromsgrove clients do, and we like it when they do.
Fitting daysFitting runs over consecutive days with everything aboard, and the workshop is ten minutes away if any piece ever needs the spray shop again.
The investment

What a Bromsgrove room costs.

The same published guide prices apply everywhere we work: fitted bedrooms from £6k, a principal bedroom with a walk-in dressing room between £20k and £40k, where most of our commissions sit, and whole-floor schemes £40k to £80k, all including VAT. The survey turns the guide into one itemised number.

No teaser numbers, and nothing invented to get through the door. If the honest range does not fit, you hear it at the survey, not after it.

Twenty seconds. A real range.
A real range, not a sales call. Your details go nowhere else.
How it works here

One team, from survey
to swept floor.

We design your room, render it photo-realistically before anything is cut, make it in our own 6,000 sq ft Birmingham workshop, and fit it ourselves. Nothing outsourced. Not one part of it.

The visit

A designer surveys your room in Bromsgrove: every wall, floor and ceiling. You get a real range, not a teaser number.

The render

You see the finished room in your own space before anything is cut. Change your mind freely at the drawing stage; it costs you nothing.

The room

Made in Birmingham, fitted by the people who made it, scribed to your walls until the joins disappear.

Asked around Bromsgrove

Local questions, straight answers.

Do you charge for design visits around Bromsgrove?

No. The first visit is a survey, a conversation and a real range, free and without obligation. You are fifteen minutes from the workshop; if we are not right for the room, we say so at the house.

What do projects here usually cost?

The same tiers we publish for everyone apply here: fitted bedrooms from £6k including VAT, principal suites with a walk-in between £20k and £40k, whole floors £40k to £80k. The survey turns the tier into one itemised number for your actual room.

Our house is a period villa. Can you work around the alcoves and bays?

That is the work we like best. The run is drawn to the architecture: alcoves become full-depth hanging, the chimney breast is dressed rather than boxed, and skirtings and picture rails are met properly, not covered over.

Can we see our furniture being made?

Yes, more easily than anywhere else we serve. Visits are by appointment, and watching your doors come out of the spray shop tends to settle any nerves about what bespoke actually means.

Do you cover Droitwich and further into Worcestershire?

Yes. Droitwich is home ground down the A38, and Worcester and the villages between are a normal working day. Send the postcode with your brief and the survey date comes back within one working day.
