London & the Home Counties

London prices carry London overheads. Ours do not. The furniture is made in a Birmingham workshop where six thousand square feet is affordable, and the difference goes into the room instead of the rent.

Our work

Built, filmed, reviewed.

A passing glance at the work: films from fitting days, rooms as installed, and words we did not write ourselves. The full wall lives on the projects page.

The houses here

Built for
London & the Home Counties’s rooms.

Bespoke only earns its name if it answers the actual housing stock. These are the rooms we draw for around London.

Victorian terraces

From Wandsworth to Walthamstow the London terrace bedroom repeats the same puzzle: a chimney breast, two unequal alcoves, and walls a century out of square. It is the puzzle our workshop was built on.

Mansion flats and conversions

High ceilings, long hallways, and communal stairs that decide what can be carried up. Furniture is designed in panels sized to the access from the first drawing, then assembled and scribed in the room as if it had grown there.

Home Counties family houses

The Surrey, Herts and Bucks brief usually arrives bigger: a principal suite with a true dressing room, sometimes the whole upstairs drawn as one scheme. Worth the journey in both directions.

New towers and apartments

From Battersea to Stratford the new-build flat offers concrete soffits, services that cannot move, and floor plans where a wasted centimetre shows. Millimetre design is not a luxury in these rooms. It is the only thing that works.

The offer here

What we make
for London.

Four kinds of room, one workshop. Fitted wardrobes are what most people come asking for; the making covers the whole bedroom.

Fitted wardrobes in London

Terrace alcoves, flat-wall runs, full-height doors under high Victorian ceilings: drawn at your survey, built in Birmingham, and scribed on site by the people who built them. The London part is the room; everything else stays ours.

Walk-in wardrobes in London

Loft conversions grow dressing rooms behind the new bedroom; mansion flats reclaim a boxy third bedroom as a proper walk-in. The layout answers the building’s bones and the way you actually dress, and you see the render before anything is cut.

Bedroom furniture in London

Bedsides, chests and dressing tables made with the wardrobes, in one finish, delivered on the same van. In small London rooms the furniture is drawn to the centimetre, because the centimetre is what a small room trades in.

Media walls in London

Period sitting rooms take a media wall drawn around the chimney breast; new flats take the full wall, screen recessed and every cable inside the carcass. Wired before it leaves Birmingham, finished in a day count you are told in advance.

From the workshop

The M40, with furniture aboard.

A London project runs on fewer, better planned visits. The survey is a booked trip, the design and render happen in Birmingham between them, and fitting is consecutive days with our own team and everything for your room on one van.

The survey tripBooked in advance and kept. A designer surveys the room, talks through what is possible and leaves you with a real range.
The makingEverything happens in our own workshop between visits: cutting, edging, spraying, wiring, quality checks by the people who will fit it.
FittingConsecutive days, our own fitters, nothing subcontracted to a local crew we have never met. The room is finished in one visit.
AccessPorter, service lift or a fourth-floor walk-up: tell us at survey and the furniture is made in panels that fit the building.
The investment

What a London room costs.

The same published guide prices apply everywhere we work: fitted bedrooms from £6k, a principal bedroom with a walk-in dressing room between £20k and £40k, where most of our commissions sit, and whole-floor schemes £40k to £80k, all including VAT. The survey turns the guide into one itemised number.

No teaser numbers, and nothing invented to get through the door. If the honest range does not fit, you hear it at the survey, not after it.

Twenty seconds. A real range.
A real range, not a sales call. Your details go nowhere else.
How it works here

One team, from survey
to swept floor.

We design your room, render it photo-realistically before anything is cut, make it in our own 6,000 sq ft Birmingham workshop, and fit it ourselves. Nothing outsourced. Not one part of it.

The visit

A designer surveys your room in London: every wall, floor and ceiling. You get a real range, not a teaser number.

The render

You see the finished room in your own space before anything is cut. Change your mind freely at the drawing stage; it costs you nothing.

The room

Made in Birmingham, fitted by the people who made it, scribed to your walls until the joins disappear.

Asked around London

Local questions, straight answers.

How does fitting work from Birmingham?

Exactly as it does locally: our own fitters, the people who made the furniture, travelling down with it and staying until the room is finished. Nothing is couriered to a stranger, and nothing about the standard changes at the M25.

Why use a Birmingham maker in London?

Workshop economics, honestly. Our making happens where industrial space costs Midlands money, so more of the budget goes into the furniture, and the design, render and fitting standards travel down the M40 with it.

Do you charge extra for London travel?

The quote is itemised at sign-off and travel is inside it, not appended to it. You see one number, it is explained line by line, and nothing appears on it afterwards.

What do London projects cost?

The same published tiers as the Midlands: fitted bedrooms from £6k including VAT, principal suites with a walk-in £20k to £40k, whole floors £40k to £80k. What changes in London is usually the room, not the arithmetic.

Our flat has awkward access. Is that a dealbreaker?

Almost never. Stairs, lifts and corridor turns are measured at survey, and the furniture is designed in panels sized to the tightest point, then assembled in the room. Buildings that defeat a pre-built wardrobe are precisely where made-to-fit earns its name.

Which Home Counties do you cover?

Surrey, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and the towns around the M25 are all regular ground, and we are straight with you if a postcode falls outside it. Tell us where you are and a designer replies within one working day.

Where we fit

Across London and around it.

Fitted wardrobes, walk-in dressing rooms, bedroom furniture and media walls, surveyed and fitted in North London, South London, West London, East London, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. One workshop makes all of it, and the same team fits it.

Your London
room, drawn properly.

Three questions, then a designer reads it personally and replies within one working day. With an honest view either way.
